Introduction to the Project

The Americanas app is an essential platform for e-commerce in Brazil. The demand was to redesign the offers sections ("secret offers," "has everything" and "from stores") with the goal of making the information more readable, in addition to updating the look of the homepage to align it with the brand's new positioning. The focus was on improving the user experience, making it easier to view the conditions, and increasing engagement with the offers.

My Role and Responsibilities

I was responsible for leading the visual and structural redesign of these sections of the app from start to finish. My role involved analyzing the old visual patterns, developing a new grid, and creating a layout that improved the clarity of the information and the users' navigation experience.

Process and Approach

The process began with an analysis of the old banners and a detailed study of the brand guide. I used these references to develop a grid that accommodated the visual needs, such as space for conditions, seals, tags, and appropriate sizes for photos and texts. Each element was designed to facilitate reading and improve the visibility of the offers. Additionally, tests were applied to ensure the effectiveness of the layout and its ability to engage the user.

Challenges and Solutions

One of the main challenges was balancing the density of information with a visually clean interface. The solution was to create a pattern that aligned with the identity of Americanas, respecting the brand's colors and style but simplifying the arrangement of elements to make the experience more intuitive and appealing. The choice of the brand's main colors (such as #EC0A0A, #E42112, #FAD70A, and #FFFFFF) helped create a consistent visual harmony.

Results and Impact

After implementation, the redesign brought significant improvements to the user experience. The new offers provided clearer and more organized navigation, with a visible increase in engagement. The visual update was well received by the audience, reinforcing Americanas' identity in the digital market and promoting a more pleasant and effective shopping experience.

Conclusion and Learning

This project was an opportunity to deepen my expertise in interface design and user experience. The challenges encountered reinforced the importance of a design focused on clarity and usability, in addition to consolidating my ability to align visual identity with the functional needs of the user. The redesign of the offers in the Americanas app became a milestone in my portfolio due to its complexity and positive impact.
